Every day we live our lives,
The best way we know how.
We take care of our husbands or wives,
And our children stand strong and proud.
We ask ourselves, "What is the end,
Is it something that is God’s will?"
Our worst enemy, we think is our friend;
They appear to be nice, but they kill.
There is something the enemy will never take away,
And that is what is in our heart.
We are Americans, here to stay,
This is something they can never blow apart.
As the president said, “One of a faceless coward..."
Did this dastardly deed.
But we the people will move forward;
All as one, we will succeed.
The pain in our hearts we will feel forever,
Of the tragedy of our family and friends.
But we will pull as one together;
WE WILL STAND TALL IN THE END.
So God, we pray to you
To please show us the way,
Continue to guide us through,
While we honor and defend our
